Our Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin shells that are placed over your existing teeth. At our Peekskill, New York area office, we also offer Lumineers®, a type of porcelain veneers that are stronger and thinner, and may be better for correcting functional issues. The procedure for all of our dental veneers is similar. During your first visit, our cosmetic dentist will prepare your teeth by removing a small amount of dentin before making an impression of your teeth to send to one of our dental lab partners. You will then be fitted with temporary dental veneers to wear until your permanent veneers have been created. The creation process generally takes one to two weeks.

Our choice of labs ensures that your porcelain veneers will be specifically sized, shaped, and colored to match your adjacent teeth, and will provide the strongest and most seamlessly beautiful results possible.
Once your dental veneers have been created, you will return to our office for your final placement. During this visit, your porcelain veneers will be fitted to your teeth and adjusted for maximum comfort and aesthetic appeal. Once placed, your porcelain veneers will work in the exact same manner as your natural teeth. One of the benefits of porcelain veneers is that they do not require extra care, and can easily be maintained with good oral hygiene and biannual cleanings and examinations at our office.
