As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic changes our daily schedules and routines over the next few weeks, the Advanced Dentistry team is dedicated to sharing important information about how we are protecting our patients and staff.
Our hours remain as normal, Monday-Friday and our team is ready to help with your dental needs. We realize these are trying times and we want to remain a constant in your everyday life when many things seem uncertain. Safety and health are our main concerns so we wanted to share some facts to help make decisions in your day-to-day life.
The CDC and government officials have shared that panic over the pandemic is not necessary. Remaining calm and continuing good hygiene and health practices like exercise regimes, getting a dose of fresh air and sunshine, and keeping scheduled dental or physical appointments to appropriate offices instead of urgent care or the emergency room are important measures to keep.
At Advanced Dentistry, we have always limited the number of patients we see daily. As per the CDC and ADA guidelines, we are now limiting that number even further. Our team has been fully trained in OSHA standards for regular sanitization and sterilization of the patient rooms, equipment, and tools used during appointments. Your professional team keeps your overall health and safety a top priority now and throughout every day in our practice.
Between patient appointments, the rooms are disinfected with EPA-approved chemicals that kill bacteria, viruses, and blood-borne pathogens. This is a necessary disinfecting measure that we have practiced since before the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, every team member is required to adhere to the CDC’s protocol of hand hygiene before and after working with each patient to reduce contamination.
