If you’re looking into your different tooth replacement options, you’ve likely come across dental implants. With different sizes, different amounts needed and different restorations placed on top, you might not know where to begin. At Advanced Dentistry of Mohegan Lake, Dr. George Sepiashvili or Dr. Wanda Mejia are here to help you decide which dental implant treatment is right for you. Before you visit us for a consultation, please read about the different options we have available at our dental office.

Single Dental Implants

Single dental implants use one post to replace one tooth. Single tooth implants are ideal for patients who are only missing one tooth and would like a more secure option than a dental bridge or partial denture. Once your dental implant is placed and your jaw heals, we can place a dental crown on top to replace your missing tooth. Our cosmetic dentists can craft your crown to blend in with your existing teeth for a beautiful and natural finish.

Mini Dental Implants

We also offer the option for mini dental implants if regular-sized implants won’t work for you. Mini implants are ideal for patients who don’t have sufficient bone mass or don’t want as invasive as surgery like with regular dental implants. Mini dental implants offer the same structure and stability but are much smaller. They work best when they’re used on the lower jaw arches. Our implant dentists can then place a dental bridge, crown or even dentures to your mini implants. They work for replacing single teeth in addition to several teeth.

All-on-4 Dental Implants

The last type of dental implants option we offer at our Mohegan Lake dental practice is All-on-4 dental implants. All-on-4 implants replace a full arch of teeth using only 4 dental implants. This means your procedure will cost less and you likely won’t require a bone graft to get started. Once your implant surgery is complete, we can attach a full arch of dentures to the implants the same day as your procedure. All-on-4 allows you to replace your entire mouth of teeth in a single day. They last long, look amazing and feel secure. What’s not to love?

If you’re not sure what type of dental implants are right for you, Dr. George Sepiashvili or Dr. Wanda Mejia will advise you in the right direction during your consultation. We will explain why one of our dental implants options might work better than others for you. If you’re ready to start your year with a brand new smile, contact us to schedule a consultation today.
